Angus businesses are being given the chance to expand their digital skills in a workshop organised by the local MP.
Kirstene Hair will host the county’s first Google "digital garage" event with representatives of the digital giant, at which local businesses will learn how to grow their online presence.
The event, at the Park Hotel in Montrose on July 12, is free to attend and has been advertised with local businesses.
Scottish Conservative MP Ms Hair hopes business owners will take the opportunity to learn how to use social media effectively, advertise digitally, and appear more visible in search results.
“We have a fantastic array of businesses throughout Angus – some desperate to up their engagement with their customers online, while others will now conduct most of their business in that space.
“It’s vital that we maintain strong High Streets across Angus but managing businesses’ online presence is a vital component of their offering in today’s digital age.
It is my hope that this session, open to all businesses in Angus, will help boost businesses across the area whether they are in in tourism, food and drink, manufacturing for example.
“I’d like to thank Google for the chance to help Angus stay competitive, online and in the street.”
Businesses of any size are asked to book places by July 5, emailing email@example.com to do so.
