One Inspirational SME from Angus profiled by London Stock Exchange Group

Angus MP Kirstene Hair has congratulated a local firm has been featured by the London Stock Exchange as one of the companies to ‘inspire Britain’ in 2019.

The publication profiles the 1,000 most dynamic and fastest-growing small and medium enterprises (SMEs) across the whole country.

Angus Soft Fruits Ltd has been named as one of just 37 in Scotland to feature on the list.

The Arbroath-based company was established in 1994 and has won several industry awards.

Turnover rose by 56% from £95m in 2015 to £148m in 2017.

KIrstene Hair, Scottish Conservative MP for Angus, said:

“It is great to see a successful local firm being recognised by the London Stock Exchange.

“Small and medium businesses across Angus, and indeed the whole of the UK, are the heartbeat of our economy.

“Angus Soft Fruits has enjoyed tremendous growth in recent years and has rightly been the recipient of several industry awards.

“It is only right that this is recognised on a national level. I congratulate the whole team and wish them every success in the future.”
